“Brown skin girl
Your skin just like pearls
The best thing in the world
Never trade you for anybody else” (In Blue Ivy’s voice)
Talk about kids with generational talents and skills right, and apparently the world of entertainment has them in large numbers as they achieve incredible feats beyond expectations. Such is the case of Queen B and Jay-Z as their little girl Blue Ivy bags yet another award.
The 7 year old daughter of Jay-Z and Queen Beyoncé just won the Ashford & Simpson Songwriter’s Award at the 2019 BET Soul Train Awards for her work on “Brown Skin Girl” from The Lion King: The Gift album which coincidentally was written by both her parents earning them both also accolades in their daughter’s success.
The award is the first for her musical career but most definitely not the only one the young star has won so far as she won with her mother Six Emmy award nominations for Queen B’s Surprise Homecoming Album that was featured on Netflix which was a backstage documentary of Beyoncé’s 2018 Coachella set where little Blue Ivy was seen showcasing her skills as she sang “Lift Every Voice and Sing.”
Small but Mighty Blue Ivy’s 2019 achievements is definitely a thing of the gene and with certainty of more to come, it has been rumored that mama B has filed a trademark for her first child as little miss Ivy has been declared a “cultural icon” to the world.
Now that’s what they meant when they said a star is born.
